Hello!

I'm thinking of upgrading to the EVGA GTX 750Ti non-FTW/SC and I was wondering if my PSU would be okay with it. I don't understand PSUs at all, so could any of you help me understand them at all?

This is my PSU:

Many thanks!

It's really not a bad system. i3 CPU and 6GB of 1600 RAM. The GPU upgrade is a great fit for this system. And I'm pretty sure your PSU (even though it's a no-name Chinese product) should be just fine.

That card uses 60W, 5A from the 12V rail. Your power supply has two 12V rails, each capable of delivering the needed power. It is likely you're only using one of those two rails on your motherboard, but as long as there aren't a lot of other peripherals, you'll be fine.

Ahh, so would I be completely safe with my PSU or would it be better if I upgraded my PSU aswell?

Well, in all honesty, I'm not sure of what upgrades are appropriate for you (even the GPU you're contemplating) without knowing all of your current system. Can you list your CPU, motherboard, and RAM?

As a quick and easy response, you should be fine without upgrading your PSU. However, if for some reason the PSU sags and causes video to drop out due to low voltage, that will likely happen only under heavy video load, and you could then simply take it easy on the video settings while you then get a new PSU.
