I uninstalled my ethernet drivers from the device manager, hoping to reinstall them and fix some problems, but now I can't install the drivers again. The installation process is always interrupted by the error message "the realtek network controller was not found. If deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable." I've tried both the CD that came with my motherboard, an Asus m5a97 r2, and drivers from their website. I am running Windows 8.1.
