So I went to device manager and hit the Roll Back Driver button however what ended up happening was the screen went black for a second and the program stopped responding(I was forced to close it) however the driver was rolledback to the previous Version

Was this supposed to happen

Solution
no ? I use a amd card and still running 13.12 driver I tried out the 14.xx drivers and just went right back to the 13.12 -- it don't hurt to try a driver if you fell like . it maybe better it may not

most times I change drivers to help someone out here so I can try to see what the deal is with it or to see if I get the same issues as him with it , but just because its new don't mean its better or it may help something that may of been a issue but affect something that was fine before so like the 13,12 driver for my use and needs it works the best for my card all around ..
I have not seen a button under device manager to roll back drivers on a video card. You can try to boot your PC in safe mode and restore the old drivers and see if it works. If not, you may need to remove your GPU and see if your PC boots up properly (assuming you have a CPU with graphics).

Do Not Use Windows Rollback for Graphics Drivers
To reinstall a previous or older NVIDIA graphics driver, do not use the Windows rollback feature. This method will not reliably restore all the previous driver files.
Instead, use the Windows Add and Remove programs to remove the current driver, and then install the older driver using setup.exe.
Uninstalling Drivers Using Device Manager is Not Supported

why not just do it correctly the NVidia way I think they know whats best for there drivers and hardware over a 3ed party thing ???

Ok, after I rolled it back, I updated to the newest Driver and it seems to be working good, If I rolled back using Device Manager and then Updated to the latest driver using Geforce Experience, would there be any issues with my GPU Driver?

I haven't had any issues So I assume its fine, Geforce Experience Uninstalls the old Driver before Installing the new one so If the Driver was at all corrupted by Device manager then its all gone now.

Thanks for the help, I'll be sure to read the release notes next time

I do each and every time on any new or different driver I never used all it can take is that one little change between them to make for a bad day I also check known and resolved issues to see if the new driver is really worth getting over the one I got running now most times its not if the older driver is good and stable

If I'm not having any problems, is there any reason to update at all?
