Graphics card help for beginner

Hi . I bought a computer and i would like to upgrade a graphics card or any other thing. I was wondering if certain cards can only fit in my computer or can i use anything. Also if i get a really good card will my computer have trouble using it or if needed to add more memory for it. Also what about power usage do some cards need a lot more power? If so how do i get more power? Thanks for any help!
This is my current stats.
Processor AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor
Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GT 610
Memory 8.2 GB
Operating System Microsoft Windows 8 (build 9200), 64-bit

What is your Case?
What is your Power Supply?
Is your computer Built or bought from a manufacturer? If Bought from manufacturer, what is the model of the computer?

Ok. So you have a MSI 760GM-P34 FX motherboard and a 500W PSU but there isn't a specific one listed.

You could definitely upgrade some parts. You MAY need to change out the PSU as well if it cannot supply at least 40A to the 12v Rail.

What would be your budget?

as of now i want a graphics card. i heard that there is no point buying any graphics card under 150, is that true?

Well, if you want to see maxed settings. Yes, that is true. You would need at least a 4GB card to run things pretty well, and since you have a 6-Core, there shouldn't be an issue at all. I would Recommend an AMD 290X, or and EVGA 970/980.

I don't need it maxed i just want a card that can run most of the games coming out. Is there anything in the 100-150 price range or do i need to get something a lot stronger like the ones u mentioned

Sometimes i can hear my computers fan, will that card be super loud too? but other then that thanks so much for the quick help ill most likely buy that Gcard
