I do art design/video editing and im looking for a desktop that can handle video editing software and photoshop. I like the designs of the macs and macbooks would they be able to handle it? my budget is no more than $1300. It can be a laptop or desktop. Im starting college also so a laptop might be more convenient but whatever you guy recommend.

Solution
I would suggest i7 haswell - e build for editing.

Check out the build below. If you can wait just wait until skylake cpu's come out late august I think.

@seoulja615 not looking for a build, I know it would be cheaper and i would get better power but im not really interested in buildin one at the moment. Just need an already built pc

- Most operations in Photoshop are single threaded, making CPU frequency the key. This makes a good case for i7-4790k which turbos to 4.4Ghz. sans OC.
- If the majority of images you are working with can be handled by 32GB ram then once again, i7-4790K is your best bet.
- Video editing can take advantage of Intels hyperthreading, SSE support and high frequency and so again the i7-4790K is a good choice.
- 5820K trails 4790K by 800Mhz. at full turbo which will be apparent with photoshop in single core operations.

I'm unwilling to vouch for any pre-built desktops. You can customize your own build with a company like Falcon Northwest but you'll need more money for the kind of pc you want. Maybe someone else here will recommend a store bought for you.
