2 8-pin Connectors for GPU, 1 PSU Cable for GTX 980 ti

Hi - That GPU requires that 2 - 8pin pcie connectors be used. You need to use both. Besides
not getting max performance it's likely you may not get an image if you try tp power it with
less than 2 x 8 pin.

You have plenty of PSU power, so don't worry about using it.

What I meant was will one cable with 2 8-pin connectors on it be worse than two separate 8-pin cables, each with their own connection to the PSU. Basically, can one 8-pin connection coming out of the PSU provide enough power for the 2 x 8-pin connections to the card.

It might, but I wouldn't do it if it weren't necessary, and in your case it isn't.

It has multiple plugs because it can draw more power than the single connection supports. Use both, especially if overclocking because that will draw more power. Same goes for Y-splitters, you're still pulling from a single connector in the end.
