1920x1080 Problem on AMD r9 270x & Samsung 4k

I have a Samsung curved 4k television and (2x) r9 270x's crossfired and I would like to play games in 1920x1080 resolution at 60hz.

Under Catalyst control there are 2 sets of resolution options. One is "Basic". When i run a game on anything in "Basic" (including my native resolution) displays beautifully while gaming but there is no option for 1920x1080.

The other section is "HDTV" that includes 1080p as well as other standard TV resolutions. These all display games horribly while in fullscreen. Massive loss of detail, jagged edges, and washed out colors. This is only partially helped by tweaking underscan/overscan. I'm able to play in windowed mode and use a utility to stretch to fullscreen which solves all of the visual problems but leaves me using the native 4k refresh rate of 30hz.

Is there any way to make my video card recognize 1920x1080 as a basic resolution instead of an HDTV one?
