Here are the components that I selected for the computer. I am looking for a pretty good gaming pc that can also run normal programs with ease like microsoft office, cd burner software, etc. If any of these parts are unnecessary or there are better options out there I would appreciate the feedback. I mainly want to know if the components i picked can all work together to make the computer run efficiently without problems.. Thanks

IPS just offers better colors, which really is only important to people who do graphics arts where they need the colors on the monitor to be as close to the real life end product as possible.

A higher hz monitor isn't a bad idea, just don't go above 1080p resolution.
Yeah, basically everything looks good. BUT, there are some changes I would make, like this higher quality PSU for the same price, and if you wanted to SLI the 960 down the line it won't be an issue as you'll still have 100 watts of headroom. (But generally SLI doesn't help as much as we'd like and can cause more issues on its own, for new games at least) I also chose a smaller cheaper case as well, very similar to the one you had, you don't really need one that big and it really will be very big when you see it in person. But you can still witch back with no issues. But I took out the CPU cooler because, unless you live somewhere it's hotter than normal you don't need it unless you get an overclocking CPU, which you didn't so I also got you a cheaper motherboard, that's cheaper because it doesn't offer the overclocking support your CPU can't even use.

Hey thanks for the response I will definitely get those components switched out. Just curious as to why the psu is better for my setup? Also, how highly rated is the gtx 960 and would if be worth it to get anything more than a 60 hz monitor?

Well, the hz of the monitor is how many frames it can actually display, like a 60 hz monitor can only display 60 FPS, even though you may be getting more on the actual GPU. The 960 is a good match for what your system is, the only minor issue is higher resolutions (some 1080p games and everything above 1080P) and newer games CAN use more than 2 GBs of vram, but you didn't sound like you'd need more than a 960.

Corsair makes pretty bad quality (as in the components that actually make up the PSU, that determine it's lifespan) low-end PSUs, Seasonic makes high-quality all-end PSUs, and is actually the MAKER of the PSU, Corsair just buys PSUs from a manufacuter like Seasonic, and puts their label on it because its an established brand. Here's the tier list to help you understand somewhat: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Thank you sir. I understand how the quality of the psu is different now and I am going to get the one mentioned or one from the same brand. Sea sonic just sounds like a better version or corsair. As far as the monitor goes, would you recommend an ips monitor or is it unnecessarybdoe the games i am concerned with? any moba or mmo
