I just got some parts to build my first gaming computer and i'm having some questions about how to set this up, mainly about the graphics card (type in title) and my power supply (also in title).

I know I should upgrade the power supply to something better at least a 600w from what I've seen around but will probably go for the recommended 750w when I get the money for either.

Here is my main problem.

This is the cord coming from the power supply and is supposed to power the graphics card.. but what I'm confused about is that in the videos I've seen before for doing this is that there is either two separate six pins going into the card coming from the power supply or just a single six pin or eight pin.

Here is where it plugs into.

I'm just wondering if I should just pull the end back around and plug it in as so.

It also came with these cords

Also if for some reason it's helpful heres a list of my parts
asrock h97m anniversary - mobo
i3 4150 - cpu
crucial Ballistix 8gb - ram
1tb sata hdd

Solution
that is an odd cable array. I would have the 6+2 pin set closest to the PSU end be the eight pin, and the further out one be the six pin as that is what I have seen done before with satisfactory results. I would be careful with overclocking, as those cables might not be able to take a draw of a combined 14 pins.

sounds good will try in a bit once everything is hooked up and will see if it will work. I plan on getting a new PSU so hopefully it'll have a better cable setup. I also don't plan to overclock too much yet. Thanks for the help :)
