I remember there was a racing car game i used to play. All you could do in the game was race, no free drive, and i remember one of the first cars you could drive was a blue audi (with redbull posters all over it). Later on you could also drive cars as seen in formula 1 races.
The game's release date should be somewhere between 2003/2004 and 2009 and it might have been (but im not sure about this) a cd game that you recieve from cereals like Nesquick. I know it's quite a big area to think of (2003-2009) but i cant narrow it more than this since i dont know when i used to play it.
It was also a single player game, not online or multiplayer, you just race vs the computer.

Hope it's enough to help me get a name. Thanks in advance !

Then surely it must be one of the Gran Turismo games.

Wikipedia.

So I checked all the cars list, and the games that has Audi in them are:

Gran Turismo 2 GT wiki - 1999/2000
Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec GT wiki - 2001
Gran Turismo 4 GT wiki - 2005

Thing is, the Gran Turismo franchise got so many cars it's hard to find the one Audi you're looking for, but if any of the models in these cars lists seems familiar to you (Mark car name, right click, hit google search) or the tracks seems familiar, Gran Turismo seems to be the most likely game.

You sure it wasn't one of the many hot-wheels themed game?
I would've said it was some kind of rally game if it wasn't for F1 cars...

Getting a genre in here would be very helpful, as looking for a racing game that came with cereals in a 6 year time-lapse is truly a needle in a haystack...

Sure it's not one of the NASCAR games?

Here is a link of all the NASCAR games developed from 97-09.
wikipedia.

I haven't played NASCAR since I played a demo from long back when, so whether you drive a blue audi with red bull commercial on it, I dunno.

I'm 100% sure it had no connection to the hot-wheels series. I'm not that sure if it came with cereals or not. The genre should be racing simulator (the cars were all authentic and the races took place only on racing tracks, not cities or highways). So not a kart racing game or an arcade-style one.

The tracks in the game were pretty long and different from one to another, not like the simple circle tracks from nascar races. I don't know if this helps but near the road there was grass or sand which would slow you down if you would get off the road in a curve by having to big of a speed. So definitly not a nascar game.

You will end up disappointed by the whole thing.

I use to love playing Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 on PS 2, it was amazing, gameplay, graphics and all. Few years later i was playing Forza on Xbox 360 and i hated it and thought that Need for Speed was much better.

I fire up the old PS 2, launch the game................and my god, when you see games from few years ago side by side with modern games they look HORRIBLE. What i use to think looked great and detailed, the drive tru the forest or on sunny beach looks just terrible compared to the details you game in the following generation of games.

You really can't go back if it's for purely gaming reasons, once you are use to the modern level of details you just can't go back..................unless you have some emotional attachment to the game.

I'm not expecting some fancy graphics, that game purely got into me. I've played everything from nfs to gta to f1 games and still when i think back what games i loved this is the first that comes into my mind. Hope i wont be dissapointed :D

Besides, that's your opinion on the matter Larry. Acceptable as it is, it's not the only one, and what may be disappointing for you might not be so for someone else. The OP, and much more people out there, me included, still consistently play older titles without giving too much (if any) importance to graphics. We just value amusement and good memories over eye candy :p

I had the same theory, i knew the game perfectly and it came ou in a cereal box too. I saw Gran Turismo 4, and back then i was still a kid but i remember so much of the game nad its not granturismo 4, its total immersion racing Google it and see for yourself. If i helped comment ;)
