Will higher positive case pressure help with cooling?

So I am currently having cooling issues with my computer and my room. When it is running for say, 30 minutes, it gets very hot in the room, like 10°F to 15°F degrees hotter, even with the ceiling fan on full blast. I'm thinking I should get more 140mm and 120mm fans to blow more air into the case than pulling it out. Could this help?

hot air outside the case...your cooling is working. Blow more warm air in to insulate components.... not so great.

Feel free to experiment, but it doesnt sound like a problem...

What are your component temperatures?

If your room is getting hotter and your pc isn't burning down the "cooling" is working.
Computer cooling means to keep the inside of the case (cpu cooling keeps the cpu cool and gpu cooling . . . well, you get it) and it does so by removing the hot air from inside (the case) to the outside (your room).
So, if your room is getting hotter, the cooling is doing its job and additional fans won't help the temperature in your room.

The fact it increases your room temperature by that much means you either have a very small room or a really impressive computer (and cooling).

Can you find a thermometer which can perform spot checks?
With that much thermal energy my money is on a PSU doing some weird things (although I'd expect computer issues with that).
And can you download cpu-z and post system temperatures. I don't think a cpu running at 90 degrees on all 4 cores will heat a room, but it's good to check.

Nothing you do will reduce the heat put off in the room.
If your parts are running to hot then adding more cooling will help them but not the room temperature.

The only way to cool your PC without heating up the room would be to either to move the PC out of the room and use long cables or to vent the heat out of the room by using ducting if air cooling or long hoses if water cooling.

To go back to OP's post title: No, adding more intake fans to increase the interior pressure in your case will make virtually NO difference. The dominant factor in cooling the components INSIDE your case if FLOW of air, not internal pressure. So, more air flow might cool the interior just a tiny bit more, but it will not change the amount of heat being moved by that air out into your room.

The reason for "Positive Pressure" inside a case (and I prefer this way) is only to ensure that, at air leakage points, the air flow will be OUT of the case. Provided that you use dust filters on all your intake fans, this will reduce the entry of dust through leakage holes. Positive Pressure has NOTHING to do with efficient heat removal.

Using my logic, The best thing to do is to add more exhaust fans than intake fans. This will create a negative pressure inside your case making the air inside of the case having less pressure than the outside air. this also makes hot stagnant air to leave the case directly and not circulate inside the case. I would suggest you on putting exhaust fans on the back of your case, the top of your case and side of the case. But the most affecting part is the back and the top. By looking at the thermodynamic rule. Hot air expands and rises, whereas cold is denser and falls to the ground. Putting an exhaust at the top of your case could potentially decrease the temperature by around 2-6 degrees celcius in your case. by removing hot air effectively. Negative pressure brings lots of dust in because of the low pressure inside your case.

You could also go with a balanced setup, Where the intake and the exhaust is balanced, for example 2 intake and 2 exhaust. The location of the fan is the most crucial part. The top for exhaust is a must! :) your case have a top fan mount right? XD

How is this not replacing parts?

What's the real problem anyway? Is the room getting to hot or the parts witin the case? For the first is no solution here,get a mobile airco or whatever for the second could you add some fans.
Over pressure seems to better for keeping dust out of the case,for cooling is there probably no real difference,you would have to try things out.
If the cpu specifically is getting very hot get a good cooler on that.
