More ram vs. SSD?

For my computer, I can either get 24GB of ram and 128GB SSD, or 16GB RAM and 2x 128GB SSD. It's mainly for gaming, and browsing the internet with a lot of tabs open. Skype and Spotify will probably always be open, and I do want to get into 2d/3d modeling. Will 16GB of RAM be enough or should I go for more. And if getting more SSD's would better, should I put them in RAID?

Solution
If you are starting to get into 2d/3d, I would say even 8gb will be enough. You can always put more RAM later if needed. It is easier than reinstalling/cloning your harddrive to a SSD.

For SSD drives raid is not really recommended, it can actually perform worse than a single SSD drive. If you can, get a single SSD drive of ~250 gb or just put both as single drives, not combined as RAID drives.

I would hit off on a single 256/512gb ssd and 16 gig of ram.

What about the 2x128 SSD not in RAID cuz I've heard some bad things about RAID

If you ever use the laptop on battery power, I'd much prefer 1 x 256 or 512 GB SSD.

8 GB RAM in a laptop is usually enough for most things. I work with heavy amounts of satellite imagery and modeling at work and there are only a few times I wish my machine had > 8 GB RAM, but I REALLY wish it had a SSD, as the processor can handle WAY more tasks at once than the stupid hard disk can feed it.

Yeah 2 ssd will use twice the power of one.
