I'am building my first PC and I have a few questions. My first question is, will my PC components be compatible together? My second question is, I do not know if the Components will fit the case so how do i find out? My third question is, will this computer last me at least 5 years and is it good for gaming? My final question is, Do I need an optical drive to install windows 8.1 or can i download it? Since this is my first build I really do not want to mess up and if you have any advise please give.

I would use the disk to install Windows but you can do it other ways. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1977339/install-windows-brand-optical-drive.html

The Pc is decent for gaming and should last a while. You may want to change the 8gb kit to a 16gb kit. Preferably 4x4GB @ 1866.

I cut some costs and made some parts better.

Thank you but I have a few more question. Why did you choose a VGA SuperNOVA GS 550W because doesn't a PC need a lot more power and i feel like a 550W is low. I'm not sure at all but could you tell me how do I know what is the right power supply to use?

If you don't intend to overclock, don't waste your money on an unlocked chip and chipset.

Truthfully, the cooler may not even be necessary but with a midtower...call it insurance.

550 is fine unless you are going to add another video card. I would go with a 550w like the one I picked it is good quality and that means far more than the wattage does in most cases. Overclocking is fairly easy and you should read the guides in the overclocking section :)
If you do not overclock the build can be made cheaper with slightly better performance for the same cost.
