Heat sink/fan placement

Hi, I just built my first computer and used all four of the RAM slots. I also installed an NH-U9B special edition SE2 heat sink. It came with two fans, but I only had room to install ONE fan (because of the RAM). The only fan that made sense for airflow purposes was a fan that faced towards the back of the case (where the exhaust area would seem to go), sucking warm air out of the heat sink (so the back of the fan is placed AGAINST the heat sink, sucking air OUT, and directing it to the back of the case.

I did it this way for the RAM reason given above but also because I have my intake fan on the front of the case.

My question for you is this: is this an acceptable solution for cooling purposes or do I need to turn the fan around and have it blowing INTO the heat sink (internal air flow be damned)?

Note: I also couldn't turn my heat sink sideways for the same RAM reason.

Solution
you will have to leave it this way sucking air out from cooler fin to the back but if you could find a way to get the front fan on the cooler and raise it over ram that could give you some more cooler temp ,that the issue we alll encounter with tall ram .

Sure, no problem. I'm using the following:

Intel i7 processor
MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition mobo
4 sticks of corsair vengeance RAM
XFX 550W PSU
HDD + SSD
