Ok this is my first time using toms hardware and im writing on a phone as my pc is not working atm so forgive any misspellings.

First if all my specs are i5 4690k, r9 280x, 8 gb ram,650 watt psu 1tb hard drive and a z9z g45 msi mobo

Essentially I was over clocking my pc and it was fine but then I set it to 4.5ghz and restarted and it said windows was having problems starting so I restarted again and now nothing comes up on the monitor, upon start up 2 short beeps sound and everything starts as normal eg all the lights and and come on but it just doesn't show up on the monitor. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with me overclocking so maybe a fix could be reset in the bios but obviously I can't without a screen
Any help or ideas for a fix is greatly appreciated

Solution

What i did was unplugged the cable of my pc from the socket and then removed the battery and leaving it out for 20 mins, when i came back and put it in it worked. If anyone refers to this post having this problem then try this. Removing the battery resets the bios settings so if for example (in my case) you did a bad overclock you can reset it.
