hI i have bean looking to build my first gaming pc for around 350 but i have come across someone selling a hp xw6600 for 250 pounds yes im in the uk. the seller has upgraded the GPU to a amd radeon r7 250 he also said it has DUAL QUAD CORE XEON 2.66GHZ E5430 PROCESSORS FITTED (TWO PROCESSORS FITTED- 8 CORES
he said he has compared it to a i7 CPU and he said they were faster i am willing to buy another r7 to crossfire them i wanted to know how well the pc would preform would it be able to max 2015 games? or would it be better for me to wait some time and buy a more expensive GPU witch is also a option or just look somewhere els all together? Thanks in advanced.

That processor is not comparable to an i7. It couldn't be, i7s didn't even exist yet that is how old it is. But for comparison's sake, a modern Pentium (pentium < i3 < i5 < i7) is faster than both of those processors put together.

sorry for hijacking the thread but i need answer real fast.

I'm thinking of getting a cheap e5430 cpu but in all youtube videos it kind of lag in gaming especially in GTA V..is this cpu really that bad?i just need a low budget system that can run GTA V everything turn off/low setting/normal at 1080p 50-60fps..

what if i have another option like used i3 2100/2120 (similar price) and i5 2300/2400 (add a little bit more money)? thanks in advance!!

thanks!!
