My monitor requires 19v, 1.5 amp

the power adaptor i'm using for it currently offers 16v. 3 amp

the voltage is lower and the amp is higher.

I would like to know if this will cause any long term damage to the monitor or the adaptor.

the monitor is working fine.

thx

PS: im not sure if this is the right category to put it in xD

Hi
The undervoltage is a problem and may ultimately cause problems with the monitor as it will pull more amps.
The 19V at 1.5A becomes 16V at 1.78A (the wattage stays the same ) this extra current can cause heating of components most noticeably the capacitors which will shorten their lifespan.
I strongly advise you to get a 19V power supply.
