GPU is not working in 3ds max

Hello, so I just built my first computer couple of months ago after watching Linus tech. I'm using two video cards Quadro k4200 and my old geforce gtx 760.

My question is I haven't noticed a different in rendering speed it still takes it 10 minutes to render one frame. I downloaded GPUz to see if the card is actually doing something but the temperature and everything stays the same before and while it's rendering while CPU usage goes to 100% any idea how to fix this?

These are my computer components I invested a lot since I'm an animation student.

Motherboard: Asus x99 deluxe
CPU: Intel i7 5930
GPU: geforce 760 from my old pc and Quadro k4200
Ram: G skill rip jaws X8

Please please help a forty second animation takes me 400 minutes to render because of this

Yes I've seen the Linus video already. I still recommend that you physically pull the older card and rip out the older card's drivers, while you troubleshoot. Up to you.

Ugh, I really need to take a crash tutorial on this program from my animator friends because there are several people who post similar problems. Nice CPU and motherboard. What are you using for storage? Manufacturer and model #? Did you place the full installation on a single drive or SSD? Why do you have two cards in your system? Since you think it's your GPU causing this problem, have you considered pulling the 760 and try to render with just the K4200?

I'm using my old hard drive from my old pc to save money I know with a raid SSD configuration I'll have more speed, but I'm a student money is scarce. I bought the new card (Quadro k4200) to speed up my rendering time which didn't work obviously. the geforce 760 is from my old pc again I watch Linus (Linus Tech youtube) build a pc with a similar cards you can refer to its channel for more info. And to answer your last question yes I did it didn't work

I'm sorry it's not you that I feel frustrated with that came out wrong. I'v e been looking for solution since for ever I really appreciate your help. and it seems that I closed the thread when I chose this is the best answer hhh man I still need help but than you tjank you so much

No worries. I took no offense. I'll run your problem past my friend Hamlet. He's an animator and this kind of problem is right up his alley. I just need to check with him tomorrow and see if he's available to work talk with you. It's possible that he's in the middle of a project. He studied art and animation at FIT here in NY. I'm personally a system admin who specializes in hedgefunds, hence my lack of knowledge in this area. I'll text him tomorrow and see what he says. Matter-of-fact I your Quattro card is more powerful than his, he knows all these tricks to speed up renders. I'm more of an infrastructure guy. Please private message me tomorrow, so that I remember to ask him. I'm at the bar right now, so I might forget :>
