8gb out of 16gb RAM detected

I have an ASUS m5a97LE R2.0. I already had 2 4gb sticks of ram installed in the leftmost slots(didn't care about them running in single channel, had them there to make room for watercooling tubing). However, after trying to install 2 more 4gb sticks, I found that those second two slots seemed to be problematic. CPU-Z as well as windows detects that there's 16gb installed, but 8gb is available. I've tested each stick by itself as well as each slot. It seems that the two rightmost slots aren't being detected. The bios in easy mode shows 8gb installed, but the north bridge memory configuration screen shows 4x4gb 1333 sticks installed. I have BIOS 1709 and have already tried clearing the CMOS. Any help would be much appreciated.

The LE is not a good quality motherboard.

Two different ram kits have not been tested and guaranteed to work together buy the manufacturer.

Even if they were two kits of exactly the same ram, it's just hit and miss. In your case its a miss.

IOf you want 16gb ram then buy a 16gb kit.

I'd say that if it weren't that I can change between any of the 4 when filling the first two slots (ie, one from each kit or both from either kit works flawlessly), and running both from the same kit on the second 2 slots doesn't boot. I also bought the motherboard on sale and the overclocks its given fit quite well (run 4.5 without the mosfets heating up).

Two of them have part numbers that I couldn't find on google(might be knock offs, but I originally had just them running for the 8 months no problems) and the others are hmt351u6cfr8c-pb which apparently are 1600MHZ which furthers my believe that my motherboard is detecting the 1333mhz one because its evidently clocking the 1600 down in attempt to run them together.

I still cannot find anything on the likely knock-offs and the other one I already gave is particularly: Hynix 4GB PC3-12800 DDR3- 1600MHz non-ECC Unbuffered CL11 240-Pin DIMM

I checked out CPU-Z and screnshoted the info it provided
Hynix:

Evidently, Crucial:

As you can see, atm, one from each kit is part of that 8gb usable

The info CPU-Z includes both what I found on the stickers on the sticks and then some.
As per you suggestion:

Hyndai Electronics(slot 1/3):
Part Num: HMT351U6CFR8C-PB
Serial Num: 11219FA1

Crucial Technology(slots2/4):
Part Num: ST51264BA1339
Serial Num:0318E2F3

For anyone viewing the thread for an answer, the problem was my motherboard. The RAM was not even remotely the problem. The mobo was not providing sufficient voltage and will most likely be RMA'd or sold.
