careful i know windows 7 enterprise is EXCLUDED from the upgrade so do a little digging as to which copy to buy. walmart, amazon - doesn't really matter where you buy it just look around for a sale you can normally score copies for around 70 bucks. what you DONT want to do is go to one of the many sketchy websites that are selling licenses for 20-40 bucks. they are illegally redistributing keys that wont work.

1. Electronics Recycler - Buy a old Business machine "Win 7 Pro" Banks and other companies are tossing these away left and right.
2. Goodwill and Thrift Shops- Same thing look for a older computers with Win 7
3. Craigslist- Look for cheap computers with Win 7
4. Ebay- Many Computer service shops have Keys to get rid of as well as Stores like Best Buy that sell on Ebay and Amazon.
5. There are many Microsoft Gold ranked Partners that still have Win 7 keys to sell off just check the Certificates.

I think the point is he probably has a Cracked Version of 7 and wants a Cheap Key for a Free Legal Upgrade to 10. You can find Win 7 the way I suggested for $25 and under you might be stuck with a old computer but still you have a Legal Serial and sticker. I don't think he will want to pay for a full blown Win 8 key as he would have to upgrade to Win 8 then again to Win 10 in a month.
