Hello, I have a desktop pc with 2x2 GB RAM installed.
The ram sticks i have installed are corsair 1333 mhz (1.5 v).
Right now i want to get another 8 GB of ram.
My questions:
1) If i buy 2x4 GB corsair 1333mhz , do i still have dual channel ?
2) If i buy 2x4 GB corsair 1600mhz will they still work with the other two ?
3) is there any chance that the new corsair ram sticks will not play well with my older ones?
4) If you notice my motherboard says it supports 1333mhz memory sticks and then 2200mhz, does that means that it will not accept ram sticks of 1600mhz or it will limit their speed to 1333mhz ?
5) do i have to get exactly the same brand model of corsair ? or i can get either corsair vengeance, xms3 , value select and get the job done too?
The prices of 1600mhz ram sticks nowadays is the same as the 1333mhz so that's not a problem.
