Hey Guys,

I was running 2 GB Ram on G41-MTS2 mothereboard which supports max upto 8GB Ram.

I got a new 4GB stick and put it aside 2GB already running, BIOS is showing 2 sticks installed (4GB+2GB) but windows is showing 4GB Ram installed.
Checked from resource monitor and CPU-Z software also both are saying I have Ram only in one slot (4GB) and rest 3 are empty.

Ran memtest86+ and found no compatibility errors whatsoever. BTW I am running 7 Home Basic 64-Bit and using on-board graphics, no extra graphic card installed.

Help me.

Thanks

Did you try a different slot? Also make sure the two modules are installed in the right slots. Most motherboards that have 4 RAM slots, they two are colored blue for example and the other two red. Make sure your 2 RAM modules are both in the blue slots or in the red.
