help my old pc

hi guys this question will be kind of weird because you see my old acer aspire x3990
it came with a i3-2120 2gb of ram and 500gb of WD blue it didnt had a gpu so now i thinking whether to to a gpu in it or not because this is a old piece of pci hope you guys cound suggest a gpu suitable for it

the gpu is not going to be base on the cpu but on the size and brand of the power supply in the unit now. if it was me i swap it out for a good 600-650w unit like evga 600b. then toss in a 960 or amd r280 card.

A PCI-E graphics card should work in your PC just fine. But I see your pre built PC is very low profile. It also from what I can find my googling only has a 220 watt power supply. That power supply is not usable with any high end video card.

You would want to look at what type of video card you want and then find out what power supply you need to power it.

Sorry guys i decided to built myself a i5 4460 and gtx970 pc i passed the old pc to my dad with 4gb of ram, reapplied thermal paste and change it to a 120gb ssd instead of a hd so far its doing find
