HDD or SSHD? please help me

Hello experts,
My old hdd seagate 500gb failed,
Now i'm planning to buy new hard drive but this time I want to go with sshd for faster performance

My mobo is asus p5g41t - mlx3 and it supports sata 3.0. And hard drive I want to buy is seagate 1tb sshd is sata 6.0 so is it worth to buy for my mobo? Will it give me performance. My mobo is backward compatible sata

I never really jumped on the SSHD bandwagon. I could never justify the cost premium over a normal HDD. If they are close in price, go with the SSHD but otherwise, still with a normal HDD or go SSD.

Thanks for reply , price is close normal hhd is 5k and sshd is for 6100 1tb.

I would look at a SSHD if it allows me control of what to cache, dumb cache everything, no.

Like I want to partition it into OS and data, and I only want to cache OS.
