I have this issue, after I bought my graphics card. Sometimes, on startup, the fans run at 100 %, and doesn't stop unless I shut my pc down completely, and turn it back on.
Do you guys have any idea what the reason for this is?

Solution
Do you have a lot of startup programs running? Pretty much every GPU starts at 100% on startup, then eventually tunes down when all of the programs are loaded (Unless you start playing a GPU-Intensive game.)

I don't mean when I log on. But as soon as I boot the pc, the fans go. But else yes, I have lots of programs running

Most Maxwell cards don't even use fans unless necessary. I personally never will buy a Zotac because of all the bad press, maybe the problem is just a bad card. My Strix 970 doesn't spin the fans until like 66c.

I just bought it, since it was cheaper than the others. Couldn't see if zotac was bad or not.
But my point exactly. It shouldn't use the fans, tho it does, for no apparent reason.

I had a similar problem. I believe it was the bearings on the right hand GPU fan that caused the issue. It would cause the right hand fan to spin slower, which in turn made the left hand fan spin at 100% to make up for it - even though I wasn't playing games at the time. This problem persisted when I restarted the PC after it was turned off for several hours. Check to see if one of the fans isn't spinning at all, or is spinning noticeably slower than the other. This could indicate a similar problem. If this sounds similar to your problem then you may wish to contact the manufacturer, install an aftermarket cooler, or attempt to replace the fans. (Although replacement fans seem hard to come by).
