So, I have a Corsair Obsidian 450D, and I'm looking at putting more case fans in it. But I have heard that if you put either 3x120mm fans in the top or 2x140mm fans, you will have to take out your optical drive bays to make them fit. Is this in any way true? (I am going to put them there to blow air through the top)

I am trying to buy some fans (obviously), are there any kind you recommend? (Blue and black theme, preferably blue led, or maybe those ones with the blue rings on them).

Thanks! :)

What will be installed in this case?
What problem are you trying to solve?

My suggestion is to not spend any money on fans at all.
Two supplied 140mm intake fans are sufficient to take in all the cooling one would normally need.
They will draw in filtered air that will keep your case cleaner.

The single 120mm exhaust fan is all you need to direct the airflow.
If you use strong exhaust fans, they draw in unfiltered air from openings destroying the positive pressure environment.
