As in getting a performance boost (even if just a tiny percentage) by adding the 8800GT to "assist". Not as dedicated PhysX, but as "more gpu", if that makes any sense.
I'm well aware I'll have to use an older GeForce driver (341.44) to get the 8800GT working, but I don't really mind, been reading the changelogs, almost all fixes are for flashy new games and gpus I don't own xP
Power supply is not at all a concern, the computer where this would be set up has an overkill psu.
The closest I've found so far was hybrid SLi http://www.nvidia.com/object/hybrid_sli.html
And mixed gpu Crossfire http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-crossfire-nvidia-sli-multi-gpu,2678-6.html
Which is interesting information, but doesn't help me at all, unfortunately.
I'm doing research to get an idea if uninstalling current driver, installing the 8800GT, then installing the 341.44 driver will be of any use or just a fantastic waste of time.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
