When I play the games it only takes about 5 to 10 minutes and the game will freeze. I can hear game sound but the screen with freeze. The only way to get out the game then is to ctrl-alt-delete to task manager to close the game. I think my cpu is overheating. I have a Amd 860k OC'ed to 4.5 Ghz at 1.369 volts with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo. The max temperature for the Cpu is supposed to be 72c. I couldn't find the max temp for the 860k but i found a max temp for the a10 7850k which is 72c. Basically the same Cpu without the integrated graphics. It will get to 70c when gaming. I will list my full build. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/c36zwP

Yeah I'm guessing that estimated "safe" temp of 72C isn't right and your CPU was trying to protect itself from damage. If you really want to be careful, you could stick to the known limit of the FX-8350 that's 62C.

That case has space for 6 fans, but since it comes with two fans I could see it getting mediocre performance. You could always grab a few fans and/or a better CPU cooler if you really want higher overclocks, but I would guess a CPU cooler would do more than some fans.

I actually turned down the overclock and now it only reaches about 60c and doesn't freeze. I now have it at 4.2 Ghz at 1.3 volts. If it makes any difference i also overclocked the north bridge to 2Ghz. I don't think my airflow in my case is the best. I have a Corsair Spec 02 with just the two fans that came with it. I don't think there is enough airflow. I will be getting a Corsair 780t in august with some more fans too.

Yeah that's pretty much the plan. Like i said I am going to get the Corsair 780t and some more fans. I want a full tower for expandability reasons. Right now I can only put in one more fan in my case. With the Cooler Master hyper 212 evo is to big in it's current orientation for me to fit fans in the top. Right now I have it pushing air out the back exhaust.

Not that I have anything against full towers, but they usually aren't necessary unless you like a beast of a case. Many quality mid towers (or even mAtx/mItx cases) can fit tons of the same things a full tower can, but if you want the extra size then go for it. Sometimes a behemoth case does look good.

Anyways, I'm surprised you can't fit more fans in that case with the relatively average size of a Hyper 212. I have a Corsair 350D (a micro ATX case) and it fits a cpu cooler bigger than the Hyper 212 with fans in both the top and rear.
