do you have experience with those hard drives, or did you change them to lower price?

I've not had a problem with Hitachi drives, and according to reviews neither have the internet.

Patriot is one of the 3 brands of SSDs in my house at the moment, I haven't had any issues with it, and really the difference between SSDs is not significant until you start moving into much higher price brackets (with a few exceptions that perform worse). The practical difference never really gets all that big, until you start loading many gigabytes all at once, then you will see a difference between a $500 PCI-e SSD and a $50 SATA6GB/s SSD (and even then the difference is only a few seconds).
