Mixing same brand, same size, different cas latency and timing

Solution
It is usually not recommended to mix them, even though they are of the same brand. They still can be of different make and not 'play well' together. If you can, buy exactly the same, or buy 2x8gb and simply replace the old ones. Keep the old ones as backup or sell them.

In general they will work fine, if you must mix them make sure to set them at the same timings of the slowest/CAS9 ram.

Maybe, there's no guarantees, they might play right off the bat, they might play with some voltage and/or timing adjustments or they might not play at all. This is also true even if you get two identical sets, the sticks in a given package have been tested to play nice
