Upgrade i5 3330 to i7 3770 or wait until Skylake?

Good morning mates;

I'm wondering which of these options could be the correct choice. Actually I'm mounting an i5 3330 CPU with a GTX 680; my principal use is for gaming. I'm afraid that my rig won't be able to hang games like now, so... Is upgrading to an i7 3770 a good idea to keep my rig until 2017/2018, or I better wait until Skylake and I get a new Zxx mobo + I7xxxxK?

I could get a new i7 3770 for 220€; I guess I could sell my actual CPU for 90€. If I wait, I could take profit of my actual mobo to build a secondary rig (my parents will need one soon).

So... What do you think? Thanks!

Your proc is still ok, I would go better for a newer stronger GPU on the level of at least GTX970.
Going for GTX970 or higher should give you the most boost for your rig.
The cost for going i7 does not fully justify the gain you get for pure gaming.
