Hello, lately I've noticed that my laptop has been having horrible lag drops ( from 60 to 10 fps) in virtually every game I've played (recently Skyrim, NMRiH, Combat Arms, OMD 2). Yes I have used Malware Bytes, ccCleaner, defragged, and Windows Defender to diagnose and get rid of any malware I had. Heck I even disassembled my laptop to clean the fan, but I'm still getting these horrible lag drops. I mean my laptop (Acer Aspire V5-571P-6609) is no gaming laptop, but it should be not be having these lag drops. Also, I've noticed that my CPU percentage usag moderstely rises (about 60% to 80%) during these lag drops. Furthermore, my laptop averages at about 80 Degrees C. I've looked allowed the forums, but I keep seeing the same cookie cutter responses. I've updated my drivers btw. Also, I've overclocked (but this was about a year and a half a go, so I'm pretty sure that isn't the problem) Please help! Acer Aspire V5-571P-6609 Intell HD 4000 GPU 8GB Ram Intel(R) i5-337U 1.8 GHz 1 Tb ( I've used 800gb of it) 64 Bit operating system - See more at: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2695042/horrible-fps-drops.html#sthash.shI641r5.dpuf

From the 1.8Ghz CPU speed it seems that the problem is just that the laptop is getting old. As everything from drivers to games update the hardware just won't be able to handle all of it. And since it also seems you had some malware you may want to go to a site to get your computer diagnosed. Make sure it's a community board. Otherwise, the best solution would be to get a new computer.
