Hi everybody,

My computer has aids, seriously though it had a virus which I am pretty sure is gone now, however it completely deleted my windows defender. I reinstalled it but now it has an error which means it is not working at all. I am tired of trying to fix it (as I have tried almost everything) so I'm just gonna reinstall windows. I have everything backed up on an external hard drive so I'm not worried about any of my data, but its my saved games I'm worried about. I am really far on assassins creed 4, remember me and call of jaurez gunslinger and if I loose my saved games I will go on a killing spree, joke - but I will be very sad and cant see myself playing all those levels again. Does any1 know, if I reinstall windows 8.1 can I keep all my saved games??

Thanks G. xx

You can just copy the save games folder in the game directory inside the documents into a flash drive and format the hard drive completely. Then reinstall windows, install all your games.

Then just launch the games one by one and play a little bit if only checkpoints are going to be saved. Otherwise, just start the game and save the progress.

Then exit the games. When you have done this with all of your games,

go to the game directory in the documents and you will see the saved games folder there.

Just replace the folder with the ones in your pen drive that you copied from the earlier windows.

That will do the trick.

I have done it idon't know... about 8-10 times with my computer. Works out pretty well.

Just make sure that you set up the same account names in the games you are using now and after reinstalling them. Also if possible, replace the files in the Saved file folder one by one to make sure nothing wrong happens. Yes it will take some time to finish. But not as much as you had to complete the levels you had till date on each game.
