Hello!!

I would like to ask something maybe weird. I saw some videos with same specs like my rig (FX 8320 & GTX 970) but in that videos they get more than 60 fps and I can't in my pc

Someone knows why? Maybe is my monitor? Mobo? I use a TV for play, I have a M5A97 R2.0

If the monitor you are using is only 60Hz, then 50-60 will be fine. If you really want it to go higher (which won't really gain anything on a limited refresh rate) then check to see that VSync is turned off, which will allow the GPU(s) to render more frame rates than the monitor can actually display. This can, and will, often lead to screen tearing though.

Turn off V-Sync. Though, I guess the better question is that if you have a 60Hz monitor (TV is almost always 60Hz... all that 120/140hz crap isn't really teh same as an actual 120Hz monitor), why do you care if you get more than 60FPS?

It could be couple things. VSync limits the frame rates to match the maximum refresh rate of the monitor. Output of the GPUs (they can only put out so much depending on the load). Basically, if your monitor is 60Hz, you cannot get higher with VSync on (not that it would benefit to turn it off since that would result in tearing and wasted processing). I have also seen some games that oddly will limit the refresh rate. Hope that helps.

Thanks for your answer. Recently I re-install all my SO (Win 10) in a SSD. Installed my games in a HDD (The Witcher 3). I start to play and I get almost +70 FPS. I do not know what I do. Reset my PC. Start again the game, all back to normal 50-60 fps. I do not know why :c Maybe something in Nvidia panel?
