My Rig currently: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9MbbQ7

I am looking for a new MOBO and know Z97 is probably the ticket. Any thoughts on ASUS, Gigabyte, etc. and the model?
Running with a i7 4970K CPU and need SLI for 2x 970s (Overclocking on both)

I've had good results with Gigabyte z97x Gaming GT, o'c to 4.7GHz using a CM D62 Hyper (similar to 212, except push-pull fans)

Why not go to Windows 8.1? DX 11 and cheaper than that price you have for Win7 (typical $99)

I already have Windows 7, and with my issues with windows 8 and 8.1... well just not my cup of tea. All parts I have expect MOBO currently.

I really like that MOBO specs though!

If you go with the Gigabyte board, just watch out for Easytune raising the Vcore too high.
In my case, Easytune ran the "Easy OC" up to 5.1GHz, crashed at 5.2GHz, and after reboot, set speed back to 4.6GHZ, BUT with a Vcore of 1.365Volts - that is TOO HIGH. I dropped it down to 1.27 (still a little higher than I like), and set speed to 4.7 GHz and have maybe 1 crash in an 8 to 10 hour day of gaming (Dragon Age Inq mostly)

I have been a ASUS user for as long as I have built my computers, but the Gigabyte board is looking like it beats the MAX VII which is the one I had my eye on and it is $40 cheaper. I will give Gigabyte MOBO a try, always have had great luck with their GPUs. Worse comes to worse a return for ASUS. Thanks all!
