Hey, I have fans and screws but am not sure of the best location for each fan. There are 5 available spots for me to put fans after installing CPU cooler, PSU, etc. I have 2 spots at the front of the case directly behind the door. My HDDs and SSD are in a cage in front of the lower mounting point for a fan. And, my other 3 locations for fans are at the top, with all 3 ModuVents removed. So, I could really use the help with where I could put some fans. Btw, I have 5 140mm fans. 2 came with the case, and 3 are some Cougar green LED ones. They have about the same RPM but the Cougar has a bigger CFM. Thanks.

Personally, I have 2 intakes at the front (1 cooling the HDD, the other just pulling air toward the PCH and GPU), and a further one on the underside (blowing toward the GPU air intake, as I have a "blower" GTX 970). I've only got the supplied exhaust, but if you've got another fan, using the rear-most top mount as an exhaust should be fine (you could use the other top-mount as an intake to blow air over the memory, if you wanted). Having said that, 5 140mm fans, even running at 5V, is probably over-cooling by a fair degree ...

N.B. I have the R4, but the R5 is basically the same in this respect.

Front/bottom = Intake
Rear/top = exhaust

Basically just fill the front and rear fan spots, then if you have extras put them as exhaust on the top. A bottom fan as intake will also help cool any GPU's you have too. No need to overthink it.
