Okay so here is what is happening my current Router is causing Large Packet Loss making Online gaming Impossible to play. I know it is the router because whenever I play directly connected to Modem I get Flawless connection. I contacted Belkin Support but they Reduse to help me unless I pay for Premium support Call which is about half what Router Costed. And it will probably be just some some Indian Guy I can't understand. So I was thinking and will it work if I connect modem to a Switch and switch connects to PC and switch also connects to Router. I can't replace router do to cost reasons. And the one I got was pricey.

Question is Will this Set Up Work? and if it does will I have Packet Loss When Gaming

Solution
Belkin's are not good routers; packet loss with their entire line is common.

What you can do is have the modem connect directly to the computer, or you can run through the switch; but for only one connection.

What routers do is basically take one connection and make it shareable between multiple connections. Modern routers can be considered router+switch; thus why the multiple LAN connection ports. So, without a router, you can only have one device work through the cable modem.

modem - switch - router - PC
...will not be any better than
modem - router - PC
The router is still the apparent choke point

modem - switch - PC and router
...will not work, except for one PC

The modem serves up one and only one IP address, to whatever device it sees first. In this case, the PC. The switch is merely a passthrough. The router will get no data.

modem - router - PC is what it needs to be.
If your router is toast...well, it's toast. Get a new one.
