I have an ssd I want to put an OS on, and my hdd I want to use as a data drive. Can I put only the essential OS files on the ssd, and everything else on the hdd? If so, any articles or guides would be greatly appreciated. I have a moved most of the data to the hdd, but have been unable to get it all, and I really want to do this the correct way. Please somebody have a relevant answer for me.

Well you cant copy programs etc to the hdd and move them back to the ssd it wont work.

And you cant move programs from the ssd to the hdd now. And expect them to work. They wont

If you want programs on the hdd, you'll have to reinstall windows on the SSD and install programs on the hdd after

I want to basically take everything from the ssd, copy it, and relocate it to the hdd, except the absolutely necessary OS files, app. etc. As far as program access, I am aware of having to reinstall them on the hdd, but I am not sure about moving items from the ssd to the hdd, and having them work. I know it can be done, as I have seen it before, but I need some instruction on how to do the transfer the proper way.
