I have just realized that I have run into a complication regarding my Windows 7 OEM license on a replacement motherboard that I just received from Asus. First of all, I realize that my OEM license is only valid for one machine, and that any replacement must be of the same make and model. Second, I have been very unlucky and am now on my second replacement motherboard. The original motherboard that I purchased in 2012 was P8Z77-V Pro. A hardware related WiFi issue, prompted the replacement of this board in 2013. Asus sent me a P8Z77-V Pro/Thunderbolt, as there were no vanilla P8Z77-V Pros available at the time. Now in 2015, I just went through the misfortune of going through another RMA with Asus, and was sent the original make and model motherboard that was purchased in 2012 (P8Z77-V Pro). Obviously I had no trouble installing and using my Windows OEM license with the first replacement mobo even though it was not the exact same make and model that I originally purchased. However, despite the fact that the second replacement motherboard is the original make and model, it is still a different make and model than the first replacement. I just need to know if should expect any trouble once I get Windows installed with the most recent replacement motherboard. All of the other components in my system have remained the same since building this PC in the later half of 2012. I am just waiting now for Asus to send me the WiFi module and antenna, that is missing from the package which contains the replacement mobo I just received. I will be reassembling the PC once I get the WiFi module.

First you don't have any choice but to install it.. and if you do run into any problems with activation.. just call Microsoft and explain this was a replacement.. they should accept your new motherboard.. besides, they'll be able to tell from their end the components you have installed and will verify what you say to them.. so don't worry.
