If you need more performance than a titan black, then either get a second titan black, or sell it and get 2 980Ti's or 2 R9 fury X's

I agree with Danbuscus. If you can afford two Titan Black's I would simply recommend getting one Titan X and then waiting to get another a few months down the road.
SLI is finicky, and it greatly depends on what you're using it for.
A rule of thumb is to, instead, buy the single fastest GPU you can afford, rather than two weaker ones.
Unless you can get the two weaker ones for a ridiculously low price, I suppose.

There is almost no point in getting a titan x though, because it is $350 more than the 980Ti and fury X, but only gives a few more fps.

Dude if you have titan black wait for dx12 benchmarks. I have a 980ti which came yesterday. and it is really pushing up there with TITAN X. the new Fury X is also doing the same. there are only a few FPS difference.
