Hello,

As many others on the forum (yes I have looked into other posts before I started this topic) I am having an issue with my SM Bus Controller driver which seems to be missing. For some reason in the past week I started getting a Clock_Watchdog_Timeout bluescreen about 3 minutes after booting into windows. Could be because of CCleaner editing the registry?

The only way to keep my computer from bluescreening is to disable the SM Bus Controller. This however makes my computer super slow when booting into Windows. It normally takes 30 seconds to be fully functional after I power on the PC, but with the bus controller disabled it takes over 2 minutes at least.

Motherboard: Asus Maximus Formula VI

I have updated the chipset from the Asus website. This is only a quick fix to keep my PC from bluescreening, but I would greatly appreciate your help to fix the issue entirely!

Thank you!!

Thanks for the help community! :pt1cable:

Turns out I was able to fix it myself. The issue was with the graphics drivers in Device Manager. I uninstalled the display adapters through Device Manager, and within 2 minutes the new drivers were installed automatically on both GPU's and when I restarted my computer everything was working correctly!

I hope this helps anyone who may have the same issue.
