Hello,

recently purchased the MSI custom 980TI

from what i can see I am not getting the full base and boost clock as I seen advertised.

Advertised clock: 1178 MHz
Advertised Boost Clock:1279 mhz

My Clock:1140 mhz
Boost:1228 mhz

is this because I used the standard 6 to 8 pin connector that you get with the graphics card and plug into the power supply adapter?

Thanks

U also need to download MSI Gaming App and put it in OC Mode but I would get a PSU with the correct pin connectors first as mentioned above. Don't spend £600 on a card and then cheap out on the psu it deserver better lol :D

Just got mine today was quite impressed

My old 970 Sli setup http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/5138343
My new 980ti setup http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/7513137?

That score is without being on the OC setting

Hi

I am also getting false readings from MSI gaming app, it states im running at 800MHZ, when in fact Asus GPU Tweak states im getting 1400MHz, but have problems in games running too slow, Dying light is running at 11 FPS, and thief is running around 30FPS running at 1080p and with alot of settings turned down low, yet i researched some one who has the same setup as mine, running Thief at 70 to 100 FPS with all setting turned up.

So what am I doing wrong also.
