I have a Compaq Presario CQ62 and I bought a new motherboard for it. The new motherboard has new features on it like an HDMI slot and an SD card reader, which the old motherboard did not but had the proper ports ready to be cut out of the laptop shell, it fits in my laptop perfectly, all the connections fit, the only problem it didn't come with a CPU. I found one of those online also. It looks like it will fit but will it be compatible? "Processor 2.13GHz Core i3 Core i3-330M" Motherboard part number "595184-001" On the ebay page for the Motherboard it says that its compatible with intel CPUs.

Solution
The CQ26 that does use i3 cpu uses the 330m, so if you have the intel board then this should work. Unfortunatly OEMs are terrible at documenting cpu support because their attitude is if you don't like what is in it you should buy a new laptop from them.

You should probably research that there was not two different battery and power supply options as the different boards could actually take different parts.
