I'm building a system and I want to use an MSI 970 'gaming' motherboard with the AM3+ chipset and an FX8350 but the question I have is would Kingston's HyperX Savage line of RAM be compatible with this motherboard.
The combo can run the Savage sticks up to whatever your CPU's MC (memory controller) can handle, with the 8350 that's generally 1866, often 2133 and with a few 2400
They should work together; the memory is DDR3 and the motherboard takes DDR3.
They will probably work well together. The memory goes up to 2400; the motherboard goes up to 2133 on overclock. So you may be able to run that memory at 2133 speeds.
