Best gaming headset under 100$??

If you are at all concerned about the sound quality you are getting for the price I'd avoid gaming headsets as they tend to suffer in the drivers they use in order to fit other features such as a microphone in the pricepoint.
Though I've heard that the HyperX is still pretty decent for the price, don't quote me on this but the newegg reviews seem to point to quality control issues so I'd rather avoid it.
What I would personally do is get the AT M40X
Which is a sexy headset that has excellent sound quality for your buck, good build quality and good comfort for those long gaming sessions.
For the microphone you probably won't look any further beyond...

For $3 this thing has clear enough recording quality to get some strategy talk going between your teammates, and is pretty good for the price you're paying for it.
