what cpu temps should my cpu run

i have the CPU AMD fx 6300 with stock cooling and a very bad old case with bad airflow (i saved money on the build) and i am getting 61 c* on gaming, (total war rome 2 ultra settings). should i be aware? what can i do to lower this temp, is it unsafe?

61C is ok while gaming I guess, it is well within the processor's thermal spec.

If you want to lower the temp, there are a few things you can do:

- get a case with better air flow, or remove a side panel maybe
- get a better CPU cooler and good thermal compound
- play games at lower settings so the card isn't working as hard
