Ram problem help

Hey guys i have a ram problem so i have an old dell 530 from 2007 and ive put in 5gb of ddr2 ram into it the motherboard the problem is it says only 2.75 is useable im running windows vista 32bit. The motherboard can have up to 8gb of ram so thats not the problem so please help

Hello, BlackAce00

32Bit systems can only have 4GBs of RAM. Your system is going to the smallest ammount of RAM to be under that 4GB limit.

What DRAM? a 4GB + 1GB or 2GB+ 2GB + 1GB - guessing the latter and the mobo doesn't like one of the 2GB sticks

How many sticks of RAM do you have, and what are their size?

Its kinda mixed and matches let me see 2 of them are 1gb samsung moduals then i cant really tell the other ones names but one is a 2gb one and one is a 1gb one i think they may be diffrent speeds of ram

You will half to take out one 1GB one and it will work fine.
