A friend's looking for a a graphics card upgrade that's under $300. His best option appears to be the 960. If that's the case, what brands do you guys recommend? If not then what card is a better option?
My brand preference is MSI as I've had great customer service experiences with them. If there's something better for under $300 let me know. Preferred places to purchase are MSY or Umart since they have local stores. PC Case Gear or anything else you recommend is also fine. This is a pretty good way to find out whether something fits the price.
Current build: Radeon HD 6770, Zalman 500W power supply, ASRock B85M-PRO3 Micro ATX LGA1150, i5 4460 and a Thermaltake Versa H24 ATX Mid Tower Case. Monitor will be 1920x1080. Primary use will be gaming. Some design/architecture work but nothing intensive.
