I just got my custom gaming pc without optical drive, so I have to install drivers manualy. The thing is, that I don't really know which drivers I should to install. I have Windows 8.1 Pro. People say you need audio, chipset, lan, sata, and graphic drivers, so, so far I installed:

(Drivers site: Asus z97-a)
Chipset: Intel_Chipset_Win8.1_V10020
Lan: Intel_LAN_Win8.1_VER191510 and Turbo_LAN_Win8.1_V10503_201413 (What is Turbo Lan for tho?
Sata: Intel_RAID_Win8.1_V13101058
Audio: V7344_20140922_WHQL_SonicRadar_2.17

However, it failed to install this 2 sata drivers: IRSS_Win8.1_VER4001068 and ISCT_Win7-8-8-1_V50102936

(Graphics: Gigabyte gtx 970 g1)
It basically installed itself but idk if all, because there is alot of software on cd that comes with it. Should I install everything that is on cd manually?

What about VGA drivers on Asus site? Do I have to install those, even if I already updated nVidia drivers? Is this not the same thing?

My real question now is.. Can anyone tell me every single driver/software I should/have to install to get best performance? Should I copy content from cd to usb and install on pc again, to make sure I didn't miss any driver?

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1
CPU: Intel i7 4790K
CPU cooler: Noctua nh-d15
MB: Asus z97a
SSD: Samsung 850 evo 250GB
PSU: Evga G2 850W
Case: NZXT h440
RAM: kingston hyperX fury 186Hz 16BG
NET: I have modem with cable directly to pc, no wifi
Monitor: Aox 2450W 1080p 60Hz 5ms

Solution
Install all the drivers required for your hardware. If you install generic drivers, you won't get control for all your stuff. For example, if you install generic nVidia drivers, you won't get access to the tweaking tools supplied by Gigabyte specifically for your card. That is, all drivers for the motherboard, graphics card, etc. that came with the device itself.

Read those manuals they give you, they are important!! We aren't going to read the manuals for you and tell you "every single driver/software [you] should/have to install"....

Also, why did you ask this question three times:
