Hello everyone,
my currect HD (hard drive) is small amount of GB, dont have TB yet, so got Hiberfil.Sys high space problem.

Hiberfil.Sys = 12,857,286,656 bytes, like 12 GB

pagefile.sys = 6,412,042,240 ... 6.1 GB

Can I reduce they space in my HD ?
or just try to delete?

I readed that powercfg /hibernate off - command make cancle the hibernation.

I only using Sleep mode with my HD, can I safety cancle and delete the huge hiberfil.sys?

my PC memory RAM is 16GB, as said I dont have SSD installed, only a Old HD with less than 500GB .

I didnt see, never saw hibernation mode in my PC "shut down" options.
Only Sleep mode that I use.

Recommend Cancle hibernation or There is an option to Reduce the Size?

Thanks so much for your Support mates.

ps.
I will get SSD, but not now, recomend use sleep mode in a SSD or just hibernation?

Solution
I use power settings and use Display Off time and Sleep time. Windows 7. Nothing else. I don't use a laptop much at all. So I'm not sure what the difference between sleep and hibernation is.

12gb and 6gb is not big enough for me to worry about. I use a 250gb SSD and a 2TB HDD.

If you are running out of space you real;ly need to get more and/or bigger drives. Otherwise you will have a similar problem with eg Downloads or System Restore space etc.

Then you won't have to worry about this stuff.

Thanks you, found the location of the change size..
"If you want to take a look at your own pagefile settings, launch sysdm.cpl from the Start menu search or run box (Win+R) and navigate to Advanced –> Settings –> Advanced –> Change. From this screen you can change the paging file size (see image above), set the system to not use a paging file at all, or just leave it up to Windows to deal with—which is what I'd recommend in most cases."

Now I set the Custom Size to 1000 and the Maxium Size (MB) to like 1200 is cool or better less?

and i7Baby, Thanks, those websites I watched before wrote the issue, just want to be sure please.

In a HD, better Cancle the Hiberfil.Sys? I dont use hibernation as wrote, Only the Sleep mode, that I hope not effected by Delete the Hiberfil.Sys, after Cancle by: powercfg /hibernate off .

Thanks for understanding friends! :)

I read from microsoft.com- that there is Hybrid sleep, and if I dont see Hibernation (for laptops) so the PC may using Hybrid sleep, that include Sleep and Hibernation togther if not worng.

now Cancle hibernate (if can't Reduce the 12GB size like Pagefile), so can cuase a problem?

I need check from the BIOS if my PC using both togther when get to Sleep Mode?

Hope you can help me with this Space issue please, Thanks! is Desktop computer not a Laptop.
